Who We Are
The Salesians of Don Bosco started working in the world from 1859 up to date, the work focuses on young people in a number of Centre’s and services throughout the world.
The Salesians have great and enviable records of involvement in Schools, youth/child care Homes, Technical education, Universities, Hostels, Parishes, Agricultural education, Chaplaincies, Spirituality Centre’s, Retreats and prayer Centre’s, the Social media, Rehabilitation, non-formal education, Vocational training schools and many other social works that touches the Young. They respond in a pastoral and educative way to the holistic development of the youth and their families.

Key Areas of Intervention
Our educational and pastoral works are manifested mainly in Technical and Vocational Training Centre’s. This is to answer the needs of countries in the process of industrial development (Ghana, Ivory Coast and Togo) or in the phase of post-war reconstruction (Liberia and Sierra Leone) children at risk programmes (Ghana, Ivory Coast, Liberia and Sierra Leone), rehabilitation programmes for former child soldiers (Liberia & Sierra Leone) and Parishes/ Youth Centre’s (all countries).
  • Assistance to Children and Youth at Risk;
    • Shelter, Support and Rehabilitation of children and women trafficked for forced labor and sexual exploitation.
    • Protection and Development of Children and Youth at various forms of risks.
  • Education;
    • Infrastructure for Rural Primary and Basic Education, Secondary Education.
    • Support and Sponsorship for Formal Education for the deprived and underprivileged young people. Technical and Vocational Education and Trainings (TVET).
  • Social Pastoral Support;
    • Social support and development for communities and families in very difficult situations.
    • Rural Social Development (potable water, women empowerment, etc.).
    • Evangelization and Pastoral formation and guidance for the willing faithful.
